The boys made it safely out of Unalaska last night at 7:30. Jamie text me from Anchorge last night to let me know they made it and were looking for a place to settle in and sleep. Their flight will be leaving in about 45 minutes now for Seattle, then they have a 3 hour lay over and arrive here in Eureka at 5:50 tonight! Can't wait!
So thankful they had the opportunity to spend with my parents and their cousin, but we did miss them too.
Their room is mostly done, I have to do 2 more coats on the window and door trim today, caulk the baseboard and spackle the holes in the baseboard from being installed and then touch up paint that. Jamie will need to install the carpet remnants in the added space and then they will be good to go. So by Tuesday it should be completely done and moved back in to.
Off to Church this morning to hear the word so I better get on the getting ready part.
Glad to hear the boys made it out. Hope it was their first attempt unlike when they went in. I know you will be glad to have them home.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kay, yes they did manage to make it out on their first attempt this time. We were all very happy about that. We have enjoyed being with them again (though brief) and seeing all the beautiful pictures. That is one thing, Unalaska is most certainly a beautiful place even though it's a rough place to live. They got some really great photos and have my dad's and nephews pictures and video too which we didn't even get to yet.
