Today was a very productive day! Dan Kierstynn and I managed to completely empty and clean out the Shed both the bottom part and the loft. Should 've taken pictures of the yard, it was a huge amount of stuff! Then when we finished that took a lunch break and started in on the basement! We managed to throw away a ton of stuff!! Mostly garbage, enough to fill the trailer twice I would say. Anyway things are much more organized now, found stuff that was "missing", also found stuff in strange places....hmmmm...can we say children?!
Anyway, it is a very nice feeling to have that done! Dan has the duty today and tomorrow, so it will be Sunday before we can totally finish (do the trips to the dump, and move all the gym weights from basement to the future Crossfit gym).
The girls and I got to Skype our boys on Tuesday night, it was so fun to talk to them, and the loved being able to actually see their brothers to. I am thankful that this last part is going fast for me, it is less than 1 1/2 weeks now and they will be home! I am also glad though that they are having this opportunity to spend with their grandparents and cousin.
Made my nightly jam last night, Strawberry, Jamie's favorite and it is very yummy. Although I would have to say the Raspberry is my favorite, Kierstynn says it tasted just like fresh picked Raspberries. Maybe that is because we picked them right off the vine and had them washed and frozen just a few hours later!
Kierstynn has her friend Esther Mandville over tonight, and Kaitlynn has her sister Mary Mandville over too, we kinda did a swap because the Mandvilles have Ariel over tonight. Summer in our little church/school community means lot's of sleep overs! All the kids are really enjoying every chance they get to either have someone over or go somewhere else.
Didn't get to grocery shopping yesterday so am going tomorrow instead. Kierstynn and Dan will be home with most of the kids tomorrow so that'll be a nice time to go.
So...I just finished making a batch of Port Wine Jelly and it is so delicious! I just tasted it straight but it would definitely be good with cream cheese on crackers! Yummy! Now I want to experiment with other wines, too!
