Open House

It was a beautiful day for an Open House today, 70 degrees or more, sunny, gorgeous!  Took me until 12:30 to get the house done.  Missed Church, but I kinda figured I would.  Around 10:00 or so I thought to myself, I could stress out and go like crazy and still miss church or just relax and do what I could.  I went with the latter, enjoyed chatting on the phone with Dan for a while, and then drank a cup of coffee.  The house still wasn't as clean as it has been for other showings, but it was presentable, mainly the floors were dirty to my standard.  The kids mopped them yesterday, but with little kids and a dog yesterday does not equal clean today.  Am having to learn to let a lot of those things go and just do what I can.

Jamie came home between worship practice and church and managed to make a temporary fix on the light, it's crooked but we were afraid to mess with it because every time we touched it  the thing would brake.

 Dan comes home in the morning! Yay!  Looking forward to some time with him and a relaxing morning.
I am so thankful for my friend/neighbor Martha, she is so sweet and so helpful.  I just realized in fact that my rocking chair is still sitting at her house.  I needed a place to stuff it so we put it there for a few hours, she also took Ariel over night and Steven all morning!  What a huge help, oh, and she took Kaitlynn after the open house when I put Bryanna and Steven down for their naps so I could get a nap too!  Thank you Martha!

We did our price reduction today which puts us lower than some comparables by about 5,000, or so and definitely puts us in contention ( by the way check us out on www.realtor.com.)  We just need a buyer, are there any buyers out there?  As I anticipated the only people who came to the open house were those who own a Victorian themselves and were just curious, and all of our neighbors.  No serious buyers, but I guess it still gets the word out.  A lot of work for not much benefit, don't think I will be offering to do another open house.

School in the morning and chapel, which will be really nice since I missed church today.  Mondays everyone is invited to stay for 1/2 hour chapel, so we usually do.  Dan will go work out while we are at chapel and then we will have the morning together.  Ariel and Kaitlynn get out at 12:30 on Monday and Friday so they will be home early.  Daniel and Kierstynn don't get out until 3:00.
