We just finished a very relaxing 3 day weekend with the just our family. It was a much needed break from life, a time to sit down, relax and just enjoy being together. We all really enjoyed ourselves, slept in late every morning lazed around and ate a late breakfast.
Jamie had to work Friday so he drove over Friday evening and arrived around 8:00 p.m. The girls in particular (oh, and Steven) enjoyed their time with him, he has been sooo busy that they don't see him much. They cheered when he arrived!
I will post pictures later, I didn't take a ton this time but did get some really cute ones. And I had to use my small camera which isn't as good of quality as my Cannon Rebel, the battery was dead when we arrived and I forgot the charger ;-(
We went to our friends cabin in Junction City which is only about 1 1/2 hours drive East. We are so thankful they are willing to share their place. We played at the creek/river, went to the park, went to the shooting range (Kaitlynn on up to Dan loved that!!), played lot's of games, swung on the swings a lot, roasted marshmallows, and watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (the movie, because it has developed into a tradition when we go there).
