The new house

Things are moving along, slowly but surely.  Got the main bathroom all painted, 1/2 the hallway painted and 1/2 the living room painted today. Steven's room is 3/4 painted (one wall is awaiting texture).  Dan is texturing the hallway and Steven's room right now.  He textured the 2 walls in the living room that needed textured, and the foyer area today.  So tomorrow is ton's of painting, priming and prep work.  Hopefully some of the carpet will go in tomorrow too,.  The plan is to get the front living room primed (2 walls and painted) then the whole room can get it's second coat tomorrow, so the carpet can go in.  Steven's room is almost done so the carpet will go in there tomorrow for sure.  If I get the Master painted tomorrow then they can put the flooring in too.  It is going to be a big, big push.  We are still hoping to do the major move Thursday afternoon, and finish up things after we are in.  There is lot's of cleaning to do, and ton's of painting to do.  But Dan works 4 days this weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and  Monday.  We have to be completely out of here by Tuesday night, because Wednesday morning it's no longer ours, the money is already there and waiting so it will close first thing.  Larry (the owner is leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be back next week to clean out the garage with a trailer).
Took the 4 younger ones out to see Christmas lights tonight, they loved it.  Especially the one that had choreographed music to the Christmas lights.  And the highlight was a live nativity, that had real live animals and people dressed in costumes!  I have to admit it was pretty cool!  They couldn't get over the fact that they got to see a live cow, there were sheep and donkeys too, but the cow was the highlight.  They kept saying it was the best day of their lives!  Isn't that cute.

That was yesterday actually just never hit the post button I guess, long day today, just got home with the 4 younger ones at 9:00.  Dan, Kierstynn and the boys are still there till late.  Jamie and Daniel are laying carpet in the front living room.  We (Kierstynn and I) got it all painted today so Jamie could put the carpet in.  It looks so great now!  I love it!  Once our modern furniture is in there it will look even better, and homey.  It is beginning to become more of a home.  Or maybe I should say more of our home with our taste and flavor.  I love the colors I ended up picking, I had quite a struggle picking them under pressure and so quickly.  I just tried to pick one that blended with the carpet and in the front living room it not only works with the carpet but works great with the rock.  One might think I planned it that way, but for once I didn't!  The only color I am not loving is the color I painted the bathroom, but it may grow on me as we get our stuff in there.  We were/are pushing to be in tomorrow, however it really is not feasible.  It is a mess, not safe for the kids and there is no where to put anything, the sun room is pretty much full already, as is  the garage.  And the Front living room would be needed for sanity.  Pulling up all the old carpet today, has helped tremendously with the smell.  It doesn't smell hardly at all now.  Please keep us and the move in your prayers, we are all a bit worn out and getting a bit edgy with one another.  The problem with waiting to move is Dan's schedule ( he is working Friday-Monday) and Christmas.  No one can help us at all Friday or Saturday, so it would be just myself and the kids trying to move.  Dan hopes to Move everything but the mattresses tomorrow and sleep here, then move those over Friday sometime.  Jamie has Friday off so he could finish laying carpet Friday.  But we still have a ton of painting to do!  Painting a 2200 square foot house is no easy task!  Especially when most of it had to be textured and primed first.
Oh, and we have a Christmas Eve service that all the kids are singing at Friday night, which we don't want to miss.  Roxanne (Dan's mom) is coming over tomorrow for that.
